My book The Dead of Winter chronicles present-day efforts to recover missing U.S. soldiers killed during the Battle of the Bulge. My next book will be a history of the 741st Tank Battalion. Another future project involves Silver Star Medal and Distinguished Service Cross recipients of the 2nd Infantry Division during World War II. Yet another project involves Father Sampson, Catholic chaplain for the 501st Parachute Infantry and the subject of a 2016 article that I wrote for WWII History magazine.
